Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - Farseer - Jan-25-2012 Could have put this in the CoD thread but thought it would gain more attention here... Go to this link for a chance to win one of ten early copies of the new hardcover of City of Dragons as well as paperback editions of RWC Volumes One and Two: Dragon Keeper and Dragon Haven - Robin Hobb Give-Away Good luck and tell us if you win one!!! RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - 'thul - Jan-26-2012 Hmm... interestin'... Worth a try. Most likely 'thul will not win, but still... RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - fool-ish - Jan-26-2012 Gotta be worth a shot! Though, as I can't even win an argument on a good day, I don't hold out much hope...ever the optimist eh! RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - finella - Jan-27-2012 As far as I know, this is not for Europeans RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - 'thul - Jan-27-2012 Might be, but there's nothing stating that that 'thul could find. RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - finella - Jan-27-2012 Sorry, I mixed it up with something else. Did leave a comment and hope ... RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - 'thul - Jan-27-2012 ahh... RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - Valarya - Jan-27-2012 Woooooow there are a LOT of comments on there already! That's exciting! RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - fool-ish - Jan-27-2012 I take it the competition is to win an American version of the book? I only ask because I've often wondered what the difference is between that version and the UK version and hence why I need to wait until April instead of February.. RE: Year of the Dragon Hobb Give-Away - Farseer - Jan-27-2012 Yes, it's for a US copy, fool-ish. As for the differences, it's mainly just the spelling choices (here we go with the useless 'u' thing again! ) as far as I can tell. I did also learn from the Newsgroup recently that apparently the maps differ between the UK and US versions as well, so I will be interested to see what the differences are as I'm not waiting until April for the UK version...as I've said before, what's an 's' or a 'z' between friends? Of course, I may likely purchase it sometime later, just for the sake of my 'collection'. I also know that in Dragon Keeper or Dragon Haven (or possibly even both), there was a list in the front of the book matching up the names of the keepers to their dragons, and this list didn't appear in our UK version. |
