of course it (the server) might go critical, but since the server is neither in the outback nor in Norway, it should not matter. More seriously though, the commands referring to stickies and announcements are harmless and easily reversed. Its the split topic & merge topic tools that are messy.

Well, *that* was terrifying (!) ...but it worked, thanks 'thul. You beings are quite handy to have around. This was all good to know not only for the 'unsticking' of things that already exist but also for the possible 'sticking' of later threads.
