Watched Karigurashi no Arrietty (Arrietty the borrower) yesterday. While it's not the best Ghibli ever (that's still Only yesterday), it was definitely one of the better movies I've seen in the last few months. The artwork was simply stunning.

Anne of Green Gables - I watched it the other day and, as always, I cried...and cried. Not sure why. I have read the books and seen the movies a gazillion times but I still cry...Crying

Spending a lot of time on my bike in the basement, watching old movies on DVD. In this manner, shared LOTR trilogy with my 8 year old son for the first time. He loved it (as long as he got prior notice if anyone in a particular scene was going to die).

Also: Much Ado About Nothing. Love the repartee between Benedick and Beatrice, and Benedick's sililoquy, of course. Such a happy-making movie! Who can be in a bad mood when you've got "Hey Nonny, Nonny" running through your head all day? Smiling

Not a movie per se, but 'thul were recently convinced to watch this:

NOTE: Language may be is intense in the clip.

Earlier today, thul then watched the second (and unfortunately only other) episode of the same.
Because other material was unavailable, they decided to watch the unmocking version, "Hellsing Ultimate OVA". It sticks together better (storywise) than the abridged version, but its not quite as funny.

It turns out that finding more than about four episodes of it undubbed is problematic. Somewhat of a challenge to watch in japanese.

I have no sound. Not sure whether it's the video itself or this heap of junk we call a computer...the latter, I suspect Undecided

Is it the one with Emma Thompson, Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington? Oh, I love that one!!!!!!!!!

Recently saw "The Intouchables". Wonderful film with lots of laughing about something, you normally do not dare to laugh about.

Nope, both volume controls are set to full clatter. I've no doubt the pooter's on it's way out, along with the telly and as these things tend to come in threes, there's bound to be something else falling apart soon too.
