RE: RIP Brian Jacques - Farseer - Feb-26-2011

I only got back home tonight but finally received the books in the mail while I was away...and have already enjoyed up to the beginning of Chapter Three of 'Redwall'. Slurp

RE: RIP Brian Jacques - Paragon-Athena - Feb-27-2011

Oh no! I only just discovered the news by reading this thread! I loved the Redwall series... I've read every single one of them and I thought that they were beautifully innocent - the sort of thing the Fool would instinctively love.

That is tragic news. R.I.P. Brian Jacques. Thanks for all the happy hours of reading.

RE: RIP Brian Jacques - Albertosaurus Rex - Mar-09-2011

"Beautifully innocent"? That's a very strange phrase to be using in describing Jacques' work. While it has a very clear-cut, black and white morality, there's still the little fact of cute woodland animals slaughtering each other.
