The theory that is mostly walking around here about the answer to the question on whether the bond is more skill or more wit between dragon and human is "Yes." The bond is all of it. The entire circle of magic in full Elderlings.

I love your explanation and well-thought out comparison to the Wit - fantastic! 
As for the 'thing' between dragons and keepers, Fitz said it best, I think, when he spoke of that 'other sense'...the one that is a combination of both Wit and Skill.
So much more to add but my husband is wanting my attention (cup of tea time apparently and he won't leave me alone!). Needy husbands! *shakes head*
