A question concerning wallpapers - Albertosaurus Rex - Mar-22-2010

On my old computer, I used to use the Ship of Destiny (John Howe version) wallpaper provided on ThePlenty.net. Nowadays, I use a laptop, leading to wallpapers in traditional formats either having black bars on the sides or getting stretched out. Is there anyone who can tell me if there is a widescreen version of that painting available? Surely it wide enough to make it into a widescreen wallpaper.

I am currently using a wallpaper of Assassin's Quest, and while that is a fine painting, Ship of Destiny is simply glorious.

Hmm. It's been quite some time since I've made any wallpapers and I think if I did any new ones, I'd drop the 800x600 option completely as most people seem to have bigger and bigger screens every year. Out of curiosity Albertosaurus - what is your screen resolution? I think I still have the raw scan I used for that wallpaper (or anyway could scan it again, since I own the poster) - maybe I could make an "updated" version.

(I currently have 1920x1080 as mine, so I mostly just use my own photos customized to fit it...)

My resolution is currently set to 1366x768, the highest resolution I can select.

I did check John Howe's site, but there is no large resultion version of Ship of Destiny on the site. He doesn't allow you to save pictures to your hard drive anyway, although I'm sure that there's a way around that. (He does have a small selection of wallpapers on his site, which is where I got mine from.)
