Nothing to do with the threadWhistling, but I like your new avatar, joost!

'Tuesdays with Morrie' by Mitch Albom...I've only read the bit-over-a-page prologue, 'The Curriculum', and I've already cried Crying !

Once I've taken in a dose of reality (which I really need at the moment, I think), I promise to return to 'The Colour of Magic' Magic .

Started Asimov's Foundation Trilogy this week. Only a few chapters in and there are already some crazy plot turns!

Thanks. It's Melaka Fray, a future vampire slayer. Very good book too!

These beings have read one Asimov book, but they have, for some reason or other, never gotten around to reading more (even though they really liked the one they read...)

I just finished reading First and Only. It was good, but nothing really special, if you ask me. Because I have the entire first Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus, I will now be reading the sequel Ghostmaker. Let's see if Abnett can keep it interesting.

Sin in Soft Focus by Mark Vieira

I'm getting a bit bored by Ghostmaker. First and Only had wall to wall action, but a single narrative thread. Ghostmaker, on the other hand, is structured around flashbacks. It's hard to keep interest in all those battles when it's all so disjointed from one another....

Reading a Proof Copy of Heroes by Joe Abercrombie.

I have stopped reading Ghostmaker. I've had it for the moment. I first thought "I'll finish the whole omnibus", then I thought "Well, I might set it aside for a while after finishing the second book" and then I thought "Screw this, I need to read something else."

Now reading Last Dragon.
