RE: What are you reading right now? - Farseer - Oct-20-2010 Nothing to do with the thread, but I like your new avatar, joost! RE: What are you reading right now? - Farseer - Oct-21-2010 'Tuesdays with Morrie' by Mitch Albom...I've only read the bit-over-a-page prologue, 'The Curriculum', and I've already cried ! Once I've taken in a dose of reality (which I really need at the moment, I think), I promise to return to 'The Colour of Magic' . RE: What are you reading right now? - redchild - Oct-21-2010 Started Asimov's Foundation Trilogy this week. Only a few chapters in and there are already some crazy plot turns! RE: What are you reading right now? - joost - Oct-21-2010 (Oct-20-2010, 11:27 PM (UTC))Farseer Wrote: Nothing to do with the thread, but I like your new avatar, joost! Thanks. It's Melaka Fray, a future vampire slayer. Very good book too! RE: What are you reading right now? - 'thul - Oct-21-2010 These beings have read one Asimov book, but they have, for some reason or other, never gotten around to reading more (even though they really liked the one they read...) RE: What are you reading right now? - Albertosaurus Rex - Oct-28-2010 I just finished reading First and Only. It was good, but nothing really special, if you ask me. Because I have the entire first Gaunt's Ghosts omnibus, I will now be reading the sequel Ghostmaker. Let's see if Abnett can keep it interesting. RE: What are you reading right now? - redchild - Oct-29-2010 Sin in Soft Focus by Mark Vieira RE: What are you reading right now? - Albertosaurus Rex - Nov-04-2010 I'm getting a bit bored by Ghostmaker. First and Only had wall to wall action, but a single narrative thread. Ghostmaker, on the other hand, is structured around flashbacks. It's hard to keep interest in all those battles when it's all so disjointed from one another.... RE: What are you reading right now? - Rendezvous - Nov-05-2010 Reading a Proof Copy of Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. RE: What are you reading right now? - Albertosaurus Rex - Nov-07-2010 I have stopped reading Ghostmaker. I've had it for the moment. I first thought "I'll finish the whole omnibus", then I thought "Well, I might set it aside for a while after finishing the second book" and then I thought "Screw this, I need to read something else." Now reading Last Dragon. |
