Fitz & the Fool 2: "Fool's Quest" - Mervi - Jul-19-2014
It's only a working title so could change, but Robin mentions here that the second book in the trilogy she is working on is currently called "Fool's Quest" and that she rather likes the title.
It sounds good enough, but bothers the tiny OCD bit in me, because it would break the patter of the previous trilogy titles where the first word is always repeated in each title BUT switches place in the middle part:
Assassin's Apprentice
Royal Assassin
Assassin's Quest
Ship of Destiny
Mad Ship
Ship of Magic
Fool's Errand
Golden Fool
Fool's Fate
(The RWC books have their own pattern but that's understandable because they broke all the rules anyway.
)Or maybe there's a new pattern and the last book in the trilogy will be "The Ship of the Assassin Fool" or "Fate of the Foolish Assassin".
Anyway, no publication date or any such info yet, but I think we can expect this to come out in about a year from now.

Very cool. It's a good title, but yeah, it upset the OCD in me as well. I noticed it right away as well
. With the use of Assassin in the first book title and the use of Quest in the second book title, I wonder if she is doing an homage to the first Farseer trilogy, and this makes me wonder about the title for the third book. Spoilers for Fool's Assassin-

Using that logic, thjan, it could also be Royal Fool. lol
But I like where you went with it. The moment you said "Fool's Apprentice" I knew you meant Bee.
