Geees I've got no problems with a book having a relationship between 14 year olds, but MAKING you read it for school ? That's pretty gross, if it was disturbing!

Boomerang as metaphor for private parts?
Reminds me of a song..... detachable .... private parts

I came across the first sex scene in a novel in a book I had to read for Dutch classes. De passievrucht it was called, and it was about a man who discovers that he's infertile... while believing he has a thirteen year old son. And his girlfriend's been dead for six years by the time he finds out. Oops.

Nobody in my class seemed to like the sex scenes, which is kind of surprising, considering basically all of us had hit puberty at the time (I was about 14). One would think hormonal teenagers would enjoy them a bit more...

Twilight. I picked it up one day at a bookstore when Twilight was first getting popular to see what the fuss was about and randomly picked a page (with size 20 font text!) Something about how the girl doesn't like brown but the guy likes brown so the girl likes brown anyway.

Rotten.
