In that version of the story, she's not a harmless little girl that gets eaten... the moment she steps in the door and sees the wolf instead of her grandmother (she's not fooled), she pulls a gun out of her leggings and shoots the wolf between its eyes, then skins it for a cloak.
You can be arrested for that sort of thing! Don't you be going wielding a shotgun and aiming it at the nearest thing that looks even half wolf-like! BlinkWink

I'm pretty sure you can't be arrested for having wings...unless they're of the mahoosive draft inducing variety! Of course, the arresting officer will be awfully sorry he bothered you in the first place because he 'woke the dragon!'

These beings went with a simple home-made wooden knife. mostly made from a couple of quickly sawed-out pieces of wood, some shreds of T-shirt and rope. Besides, in the source story, it was a handgun, not a shotgun. 'thul did not have time to make a mock gun, so a mock knife was chosen. They could've used a real blade, but decided that wouldn't be a good idea, no matter how poor the steel quality in the blade.

No, it's not a great idea to go to a party carrying a knife Ouch What are you going to wear? I'm being proper nosy now, but as a fancy-dresser at least once a year myself, I'm curious to know Big Grin

RE: What's happening in your world? - 'thul - Feb-18-2012

Considering it was yesterday, These beings are not going to wear anything beyond what they wear every regular day...

The knife was wooden for reasons related to safety. It is one thing to have lots of big and sharp knives... it is quite another to be careless with such...

RE: What's happening in your world? - fool-ish - Feb-18-2012

Oh! So what did you wear?

RE: What's happening in your world? - 'thul - Feb-18-2012

These beings wore clothes, naturally...
*grins widely, showing innumerable teeth*

Spoil sport! P

You asked for that answer.

Aside from a very much home-made hood, the physical aspect of 'thul that went to the party wore regular pants, winter shoes and a decent shirt. (old scout uniform shirt, with all patches removed and ironed to remove deformations left by patches)

Yep, ask a silly question, get a silly answer! Did anyone guess that you were Little Red Riding Hood gone awry in your old ironed scout shirt and home-made hood and carrying a wooden knife?

RE: What's happening in your world? - 'thul - Feb-18-2012

Considering that the home-made hood was rather red (made from a sliced-up T-shirt, some thread and some duck tape), and 'thul kept pointing the "knife" at people, asking if they were a wolf, it was fairly easy to guess...

Mostly they commented more on the secondary costume... a literal interpretation of of the theme (untranslatable and not very understandable out of context)
