Heard this the other day, so true to me. P

"Whatever your goal, Chocolate Milk can help you achieve them."

I guess this isn't really a comedy quote thread, but I can only seem to remember quotes I found funny.....

I love this quote from Seinfeld where Elaine says:

"I'm not a lesbian! I hate men, but I'm not a lesbian. "

But you really need to see the line delivered in context... soooooo..... if you already knew it you might be laughing now!

Don't ask me why but I was flicking through an old notebook of mine and some of the quotes that headed the pages put me in mind of some things within the RotE books (the notebook is a favourite as it has a nature/Native American theme):

From John Muir:

Quote:When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world

From Chief Luther Standing Bear:

Quote:The old Lakota was wise. He knew that man's heart away from nature becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans too.

These beings came across this quote yesterday, and it made them chuckle...

"Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage."

I didn't receive 'The Inheritance' in our mailbag Crying , but I did receive this little gem, heading a piece of notepaper...

From Shannon Martin:

Quote:If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

In twelve words, she has encapsulated my life! Smiling

EDIT: You counted the words, just to make sure there was twelve, didn't you?! P END EDIT

I have a few I like:

'The extreme always makes an impression' Christian Slater in Heathers
'D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F' a word I use quite often though I'm not sure who came up with it. I know it's Shannon Moore's motto
'Buildings burn, people die but real love is forever.' Sarah in The Crow

And obviously the one in my signature.

RE: Your Favorite Quote/Saying? - FoolishGirl - Mar-26-2011

Speaking of Seinfeld:
"People: they're the worst!"

I like this one by Albert Einstein:
"If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z.
X is work.
Y is play.
Z is keep your mouth shut."

And right about now, this one by Einstein is also appropriate:
"The hardest thing to understand in the world is the income tax."

"Testosterone is a great equalizer. It turns all men into morons."

RE: Your Favorite Quote/Saying? - danieladamsmith - May-05-2011

As for Seinfeld.

"It's not a lie if you believe it"

Thoreau

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desparation"

John Lennon

"Nothing speaks louder than a conspiracy of silence"

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

James Marshall Hendrix

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”

Charles Dickens

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"

Robert Frost

"I took the road less travelled and it made all the differance"
