Pick me, pick me! I've done more than my fair share of RotE readings! Wink Come early 2013, let's Skype or something...though, once we're done, that may cost more than the book purchase. P

I just checked the shipping costs to germany: $ 21,--, which is quite a bit.
Does anybody know if the book will also be sold in the UK when it's out? From there shipping is much cheaper.

RE: The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince - Farseer - Aug-28-2012

Yes, the shipping is a killer. Down Still, we won't be able to originally source it from anywhere else so there is no choice.

Yay Clapping Slurp No firm date yet (sometime early in 2013) but the RotE-based, 37 000 word novella 'The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince' is due to come out as an illustrated hardback from Subterranean Press.

Here's a blurb from the SP site but please be warned that there are spoilers aplenty for the story so BEWARE if you don't want to be spoiled.

To pre-order your copy (which I advise that you do to ensure that you get one eg like what happened to others who wanted 'A Fantasy Medley' but didn't get it!), please go to this link. I made sure that I ordered mine before telling the rest of the world about it... Wink Big Grin

Hi, im in the UK where can I pre order it here? I really don't want to be paying so much in shipping! and its not coming up when I search Amazon. I soooooo want this book!!

I thought Skype was free, or is that if you're skyping in the same country? I dunno. But one way or another, I'll have to know that story! Big GrinSlurp

skype-to-phone isn't free. skype-to-skype is.

RE: The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince - Mervi - Aug-29-2012

littlemizzangry, as much as the shipping costs suck, I personally wouldn't trust amazon to actually have copies when the book is published. If SP manages to sell all their copies themselves, there won't be any left to sell through third parties. If you look at their website, most of the books they print & sell are special editions (only release, signed & numbered, special artwork etc) ... They kind of specialise in special editions. Smiling And that's why generally their prices are higher and print runs smaller.

However, this is all speculation as we don't know how limited the trade edition of WP&PP actually is. You might be lucky and get it through amazon after all.

That being said, the data amazon has for that book is rather strange, as it lists "HarperCollins Specials" as the publisher instead of SP, the publication date is for the END of 2013 and they also list a trade paperback...Uhhuh

a real life? is that legal?

on a more serious note... if we do come across anything, we'll inform ya, mervi...
