BB codes & post interface - 'thul - Dec-12-2012

Some of that seems to be broken.

Text size / font doesn't work right.
Some codes, when the button for them is clicked, give [undefined] tags rather than the proper tag.

Codes like spoiler still work if manually typed in, but text size does not seem to cooperate.

'thul are fairly certain that this issue sits far deeper than your permissions go, Farseer.
Its at least at the admin control panel level, but quite probably even further up in the system.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, and have you tried with different browsers 'thul? It all seems to work okay with me on my iPad (which is currently the only way I can check on things) so I'm really surprised to hear this.

'thul tried two different computers (one ubuntu, one windows), both with firefox.

Test on opera revealed a lack of that problem. But it is present in firefox.

RE: BB codes & post interface - Farseer - Dec-13-2012

As per some previous posts hereabouts, it has been happening to me for some time now (which is why I have been having to just paste in the whole of a link of late), though I was of the understanding that the problem was limited to me. Looks like it's spreading... Blink P

Other than when I recently changed my profile's signature (and changed the text colour in the doing), I have been unable to use any of my buttons at any time, in either Firefox or Internet Explorer or on either of my usual laptops. I haven't tried anything on my iPad but will test it once I return home (flying back to the warmth of North Queensland tomorrow! Yay ).

It is the same issue you had? these beings had not realized.

For all they know, it could've been going on a long time for them. They've gotten used to typing out the codes, having mostly used italics and spoilers. The latter has to be typed out and for the former 'thul use html rather than BBcode. <i > instead of [b]... (minus the extra space between i and > )

If you want, you could try testing it in the browser called "Opera".
Its a Norwegian browser where 'thul got the drop-down box for text size to work there. The slight differences between browsers and how they deal with web pages could be enough. (these beings would never recommend using IE.)
