I think I may well add it to my 'to-read' pile as it sounds like something our whole family may enjoy.
My daughter read the first book.. and we went to see the movie with her friend and mom who have both read the whole series (3 books).
From someone who hadn't read the books.. I thought the movie was amazing! Amazingly, I didn't hear any griping from the readers about annoying changes; they said it stayed pretty true to the book, which is great.
Unfortunately some of my closest friends (friends whose recommendations I prize above all others) have read the trilogy and unanimously state the 1st one is amazing, the 2nd one is 'meh' and the 3rd one is absolutely disappointing. They've all told me to read the 1st one and leave it at that (though of course i never could just leave it at that, lol).
As soon as I finish Inheritance (finally made it to Book 4 on the re-read) I'll be picking up the Mistborn Trilogy. THEN it's off to Hunger Games.
