Here, here!!

Joe Abercrombie and David Anthony Durham are at the top of my list, I've heard so many good things about their works.
I read all of Brust's Dragaera series years and years ago and need to brush up on it for the 4 that have come out since then, but from what I recall, I thoroughly enjoyed them. All 15 of the 19 I read! Huge series, but interesting world/magic.
My book-buddy (that's what I call him) at work just recently read the First Law books by Joe Abercrombie and cannot stop saying wonderful things about him - so that is on my up-next list as well.

I couldn't recall what I've read all year, because I don't keep lists, but I know I did a few re-reads, including all 12 Hobb Books, Martin's book 4 & 5, and Rothfuss's two again.
And 2 months ago I embarked on a journey I've been avoiding for years. For almost a decade, actually. That being: the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. And I'm not afraid to admit how wrong I was to wait.
In the past 7 weeks I have read 8 and a half of the books (currently 50% through book 9) and am sucked in to this world in a way I haven't been in quite some time. Sure, Jordan's characters aren't as deep as some I've read.. sure, Jordan doesn't kill off any main characters.. but the world is comforting, the female characters are just a hoot, and I find myself loving the magic & politics of the world.
You know, I have never once had a dream about a book-world I've read. Not even my favorite - RotE or LotR. But I've been dreaming about Aes Sedai almost non stop for over a month.
I can't wait to get to book 12 because that's when Sanderson starts writing the story - oh and that's why I started it in the first place. Because I read Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy earlier this year as well.
(Sorry for the unorganized wall of text)
