I've always considered myself a fast reader - I was usually the first to finish anything that we read in school for example. I'm however no match to those people who can read a Harry Potter book in one sitting!
But I've noticed I've slowed down a LOT lately. I guess it's just that now that I can choose what I read (and as I'm sure you've noticed I'm extremely picky ) I want to savour what I'm reading and not just run through a whole book with a glance/paragraph technique. It's also that I read less than I used to (my list for this year would probably be the shortest of all) so I guess my skills are getting rusty. Too much time spent on the computer!
