I may have been born in the seventies but I'm an eighties child in all else...and these words transport me right back there!!! Ah, the Brat Pack days...

As for directors, I must admit that I couldn't name any but two without Googling favourite movie titles to find out more! When I read the others, I'd know, but wouldn't know one from another until then.

This having been said, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas (yep, the two that everyone on Earth knows! ) are the extent of my 'director' repertoire...and just as much for their producing and writing really...which is why I haven't commented here yet!

Still, movies such as Schindler's List, Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark etc (Spielberg directing) and A New Hope etc (Lucas directing) are among my all-time favourites...either alone or collaborating together, these two are masters of film.

As for the existance of other directors, I have a feeling I will learn much in this thread...as I already have!
