3G coverage, which, I have discovered, is required for the use of a Kindle, is very limited here in Australia (to mostly the capital cities, main metropolitan areas and coastal regions where the majority of our population lives).
Outside of these 3G hotspots, we do have quite good Next G mobile coverage (that is nothing like 3G) in many regional and remote areas but there is a whole lot of space in our country that is not covered by any network...I am definitely IN one of those spaces !
That being so, for all of my lengthy sermon above about the glories of technology, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, I doubt I will be buying a Kindle or converting over to ebooks anytime soon...it would take me a good, six-hour drive just to be able to get somewhere where I could download something !
If anyone knows different, please let me know.
