Piet Wijn recently died. He was the artist behind one of my favorite comics, Douwe Dabbert. (Page on Wikipedia, page on TV Tropes) And before you're asking, it was never translated into English.
Although he hadn't been able to draw for some years before his death, I can still say that the world of Dutch comics has just become a little poorer.
