So I went out to see the new Conan the Barbarian film yesterday. It was basically what I was expecting: an original story with elements of the original short stories by Robert E. Howard worked in. Except it wasn't as good as I hoped for: flat characters that got next to no character development, fight scenes during which I couldn't see what was happening, a cliched story...

Another thing I saw yesterday was the latest episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: "The Return of Harmony, part 2". It was much more enjoyable, in-depth and epic than Conan. That's right: a show about candy-coloured ponies is better in every respect.

Oh, and the trailer for the new Three Musketeers movie. I think it's going to suck. One word: airships. I can assure you, those weren't in the book and I can't figure out why anyone would think the story needs it...
