I finished it. Not very impressed to be honest. It's a story that went into one eye and out of the other. Probably my least favourite 6D story so far.

Very quick visit. Am sure I'll have many more to add when time allows. Some bits I enjoyed:

* Felicity's mention that wise men would likely find the scroll/s x or xx or xxx years hence and my knowing that Skilled Ones were dubbed "wise men" in such places as the old tale/poem which began 'Six Wisemen came to Jhaampe-town'.

* The mention of Lostler not only being Witted but also having come from Chalced, just as Burrich was and did...though both were not 'of Chalced' originally.

* That Charger was bonded with a raven, Kennit's sigil.

* I'm not going to specifically mention it here, even under a spoiler tag, until many more of us have read it but obviously I enjoyed the confirmation or answering of a question about something we've discussed elsewhere here regarding the Wit.

* That, though he was Witted, Charger was not overly strong in the Skill despite the fact that Skilled Ones were well trained in those times and obviously even bastards were welcomed to such training...far different to the time Chade and Fitz found themselves in.
