I'm excited to share that my project is almost ready to be launched. I've been looking for an easy way to track book releases for years, but there's no central site that can provide this service, so I made one!!

It's called Reader Alert and it is free service to track new book releases by author and genre. We're not ready to release the web tool quite yet, but you can go to ReaderAlert.com and sign up for an early release invite.

Sounds exciting Chris! Do you think we could do some co-operation - we have quite a big "library" section in Risingshadow (http://en.risingshadow.net/ )?

I definitely want to pair up with other websites. One idea I had was to build a widget that will dynamically generate a "create alert" button based on what book or author the user is looking at on that website. For example, weread.com or goodreads.com

The site is working. Just sign up and create alerts for your favorite authors and books. Smiling

GREAT idea - have just signed up! I doubt that it matters (!!) Chris, but just letting you know that Australia has only four-digit postcodes (zipcodes), not five like the US obviously has, so I just had to add an extra digit to be able to register?
