Legacy of Kain

I just finished my second playthrough of Legacy of Kain: Defiance and I was wondering if there were any other fans of this awesome videogame series on this board?

For those who are unfamiliar with LoK, it's a series of videogames centered around the vampire Kain, who is our hero despite dooming the world out of egotism, because his enemies are even worse. While most videogames do have a story because it's expected but which is not very interesting, these games are known primarily for their epic story, although they're a joy to play through as well.

For the actual game the most I've played was a demo of number 2. Was fun enough form what I remember. Bout all I can say about it =/

Then again I usually forget the names of games, but the description isn't ringing any bells at all.

What exactly do you mean by that? The order of the games can be confusing at times. In publication order, they are:

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Set over a thousand years after BO.)
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 (Picking up where SR left off, involving a lot of time traveling.)
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 (This is where it gets weird. This one is set between BO and SR, but on an alternate timeline, created by the events of SR2 and the next game, Defiance. It is widely considered the worst LoK game, especially storywise.)
Legacy of Kain: Defiance (Picking up where SR2 left off. Time traveling again.)

The Blood Omen games have Kain as playable character and the Soul Reaver games Raziel, but the numbering scheme confused a lot of people. They finally ditched the subseries when making Defiance, which was known in development as Soul Reaver 3. It has both Kain and Raziel as playable characters, making it the most awesome game in the series. Also, the different order of title / subtitle for the first game is not a typo.

This is LoK's best known piece of music, Ozar Midrashim. It is awesome.

Hmmm that's ok ...... but I definitely haven't played it cos that music rings no bells whatsoever.
Hah I love one of the incidental tracks from Pharaoh 2 - I don't think it has a name (although it might have) it's just incidental music with a middle eastern feel - I'll have to find it now!!! I DID used to have it and played it with regular music tracks.... I liked it THAT much.

I did like the music in DAO , it really enhanced the atmosphere of the game. But I don't think I'd just play the tracks for fun outside of the game.
