I honestly can't remember the last time I used a turntable. All that careful placing of the stylus and counting the grooves to find the track you want to listen to...good times!
I remember listening to my first CD, though and finding it odd that I couldn't hear any crackling sounds.

... but a nightmare when you move. I found all that out the hard way...if only I'd been born into the world of digital music and tiny iPods, I'd have had a lot less to lug around the country! Of course, I think the larger portion of boxes were used for moving books. I have bought quite a few Kindle-for-PC versions since the move!!! Not to mention that I never want to buy another thing ever again lest I have to shift in the future...
