We just had the Lord of the Rings symphony in Finland (and my home city!) last weekend, so needless to say Howard Shore has been on shuffle/repeat here a lot.  This to all wandering to this topic: if you have a last.fm account, there's a group for Robin Hobb fans there as well, Wolves sing together, please feel free to join the chorus!

O.o I'd love to see that I think no other composer could have made a better soundtrack for The Lord of the Rings. Great movies *drewls* It would be awesome if HBO chooses Howard Shore to compose the soundtrack for A Game of Thrones but only time will tell if they do

Hey, if someone still wants to check out We Are Smug, you should do so soon, as it's only available until Jan 1st! Lately, I've been listening to Sting's new Christmas album a lot. I'd actually call it "a winter album", since although most of the songs do have a connection to Christmas, it's not your usual boring carols&classics stuff, and it has a very winter-y and northern feeling. My favourite songs are "Soul Cake", "Cold Song" and "Hurdy Gurdy Man". The album is called "If On A Winter's Night..."
