Question about Fool's errand

In chapter five of Fool's errand, Fitz and the Fool talk about Fitz repelling someone who wanted to hurt the Fool (at that time Amber). This obviously points to a scene in the Liveship traders trilogy, but I can't think of which scene. Does anyone have an idea to what event this refers?

It's something that happens between [[Lavoy]] and Amber in Ship of Destiny, but I don't think we ever "see" the scene. It's referred to a couple of times - when Althea leaves the two alone before it takes place, when Lavoy comes to report that the carpenter is unconscious and in the beginning of chapter 9 when Althea tries to talk about what happened with Amber. That's all I can remember/find right now.
