There will always be some spoilers if one speaks of the books at all. The trick is limiting them to a harmless level.

Note:
when 'thul write in all italics, it is the lord of the three realms within 'thul speaking. A fairly egoistical, but also somewhat simple-minded dragon. Do not take such posts at face value.

Both. It became most clear in DH when he took a stand at the two tributaries of the RW river. It became far clearer in CoD.

O.k., THAT is really something very special. For me up to now he was just a sort of secondary character. But I didn't read CoD yet (I'm still waiting...Mad).

@Narya: Good to hear, that you start enjoing the book. For me it was a very detailed introduction into the Rain Wilds, the people, the hazards, the dragons and their fate continuing the scenery in the Lifeship Traders etc.). Dragon Haven is much faster and for me very exciting, because through DK everything became so familiar and dear to me.

Well, the good thing about having a cold with an ugly cough is that the family lets me stay abed and finish DK. That accomplished, I must now make a sudden recovery and dash off to a bookstore to find a copy of DH. Smiling

They are not gullible enough to be convinced that them buying you DH is a miracle cure that will guarantee that your ugly cold will be cured in a matter of days?

Finally got to the library and checked out Inheritance and Dragon Haven, I also go Ship of Magic for a second read. It was the first Hobb book I read, so if I read it again, now knowing what I know, I hope to see all those hints that were dropped on deaf ears (blind eyes?) before.

In the past 48 hours I read Homecoming and almost all of DH. Also got in a little gardening, grocery shopping, cooking, bills paying, desk cleaning, a George Bernard Shaw play (Arms and the Man, quite funny), a dinner date, two volunteer opportunities ... and just a little sleep. Looking forward to finishing DH tonight - it is definitely more interesting than DK. Then back to the Monday morning grindstone. 22

But as for me, my heart is with the Sea, and I will dwell by the grey shores until the last ship sails.
